Post-Service Housing Development Limited Engages Kurudu Residents In Proactive Town Hall Meeting
In a continued effort to strengthen community relations and enhance estate management, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), Major General Isaiah Allison, convened town hall meetings with residents of Kurudu 1 and Kurudu 2 Estates in Abuja.
The meetings, held on 1 July 2025, served as open forums for direct engagement between PHDL leadership and residents. They follow similar sessions recently conducted with residents of PHDL estates in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Ojo, Lagos State.
At Kurudu 1, residents and executive members of the Residents’ Association participated in a robust discussion that addressed infrastructure improvements, estate security, enforcement of estate rules, and other emerging concerns. President of the Residents’ Association, General Lot Linus (Rtd), welcomed the MD and presented the collective concerns of the residents.
Major General Allison emphasized the importance of standardizing operations across all PHDL estates and reaffirmed that residents’ contributions must be accounted for, transparently managed, and utilized solely for estate maintenance under the oversight of the Residents’ Association Executives. He also underscored the need for strict adherence to estate rules to promote order and livability.
A similar meeting was held shortly after with residents of Kurudu 2. The Chairman of the Residents’ Association, Hon. Okpara Christian, welcomed the MD and outlined the challenges facing the estate. The session provided yet another opportunity for open dialogue between residents and PHDL leadership.
Major General Allison reiterated PHDL’s unwavering commitment to improving living standards across its estates. He praised the Kurudu communities, describing them as “a model and an example to many other estates,” and called for increased financial accountability from estate executives managing residents’ contributions for day-to-day operations.
The MD/CEO assured residents that their feedback would inform future interventions and reaffirmed PHDL’s dedication to supporting safe, well-maintained, and thriving residential environments.
