Today, I had a private and fruitful meeting with our President, Muhammadu Buhari. I am glad despite his busy schedule, he prioritized the quest of our people to have their representation restored. Thank you all for keeping this issue on the front burner, and thanks to Mr President for his listening ears.
Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, according to Premium Times, Jibrin said he could not comment on whether the president would intervene in his matter. He said:
Well, I cannot comment in that regard. The most important is that I saw him and he is in a very high spirit. I greeted him like a son and he spoke to me like a father.
