Ten-man Paris Saint-Germain overcame Lille 2-1 in the French League Cup final at the Stade de France on Saturday as they march towards another domestic clean sweep of titles.
Javier Pastore gave the Ligue 1 champions the lead five minutes before half time in controversial circumstances when his shot passed through the legs of an offside Layvin Kurzawa on its way into the net.
But Djibril Sidibe restored parity for Lille at the restart when he fired a free-kick through the wall and into the net.
Laurent Blanc’s men were dealt a huge blow when Adrien Rabiot was shown a second yellow card for a cynical foul on the impressive Sofiane Boufal with 20 minutes remaining, before Lille’s Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama came up with a moment of madness, rushing out 30 yards and leaving Angel Di Maria to roll in the winner with 16 minutes to play.
The Parisians now have three trophies this term with a French Cup final against Marseille to come.
