Rear Admiral Emmanuel Chukwuma Anakwe Hands Over To Commodore Ahmad Abubakar Madawaki As Commandant Nigerian Navy Logistics College Dawakin Tofa Kano
On Thursday, 27 November 2025, Commodore Ahmad Abubakar Madawaki officially assumed duty as Commandant of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, Kano. In his valedictory remarks, the outgoing Commandant, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Chukwuma Anakwe mni, expressed gratitude to officers, ratings and civilian staff for their unwavering support, noting that their collective efforts enabled the College to achieve significant milestones during his tenure. He reflected on the challenges and accomplishments recorded and encouraged personnel to extend the same level of cooperation and commitment to his successor.
In his maiden address, Commodore Madawaki commended Rear Admiral Anakwe mni for his impactful leadership and pledged to build on the strong foundation laid by his predecessor. He called for continued collaboration from staff to further advance the College’s mandate. The handover ceremony featured the signing of official documents, transfer of authority through the College Flag, presentation of souvenirs and a ceremonial lunch. Following the event, the new Commandant visited the Kano State Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umar (rtd), and paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.
