Rihanna has finally caved and revealed when she will be dropping new music.

The entrepreneurial singer spoke about this after a fan hopped on her Instagram post to ask when the new album is coming. “When is album dropping, Robyn,” asked the concerned fan, “Can we have a release date for that.”

To which Rihanna responded with an emphatic: “2019.”

And this was all it took to calm the nerves of fans who had been hounding her on social media to demand new music.

Only in July, Rolling Stone revealed that the singer’s team and her label Roc Nation have been going through some “500 records” searching for a new full-on dancehall album. The report cited anonymous producers and other sources close to the team who have said that many dancehall and reggae icons have been submitting their tracks over the past year and a half for Rihanna’s team to choose from.

And some of the writers and producers working on this 10-track album project include Supa Dups (Drake, Nicki Minaj), R. City (Beyoncé, Simple Plan), Tyshane “Beam” Thompson (Yo Gotti), Skrillex, Boi-1da, and Kranium.
