South Africa’s DJ Black Coffee Apologizes for Slapping AKA’s Manager
Black Coffee has apologized for his viral altercation with AKA’s manager which took place over the weekend.
In case you missed it, a video of the We Dance Again producer slapping AKA’s road manager Tshiamo Letshwene made the rounds on the internet over the weekend, causing South African Twitter to explode with different reactions.
According to reports, the spat between the DJ and AKA’s manager was ignited because AKA wanted to perform during Coffee’s set time at DSTV’s I Rock Music Festival on Saturday after he came hours late and missed his own set time.
In the short video, Black Coffee can be seen talking to two men, but the conversation quickly went downhill as the DJ can be seen planting a stinging slap on AKA’s manager’s face.

After fans waded into the brewing beef between the two artistes, with many taking Black Coffee’s side, the DJ finally apologized for his actions.

See his apology below.

AKA and Black Coffee have been feuding for a while now and at this year’s BET awards, the rapper refused to go onstage to congratulate the DJ after he won the Best International Act category; a first time achievement for any South African.
