Synagogue building collapse: Lagos orders inquest


It’s been exactly 2 weeks now since a building in the premises of Synagogue Church of All Nations collapsed killing over 115 people mostly south Africans.
Following the tragic incident, The Lagos State Government has set up a coroner’s inquest for the purpose of investigating the cause of the September 12 building collapse.
In a statement credited to the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ade Ipaye, the state instigated the coroner’s inquest pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s System Law No. 7 of 2007.
The coroner’s of inquest, headed by Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, has been charged with establishing the cause of the collapse of the synagogue’s six-storey building .
