T.I. & Tiny are Officially Moving Forward with their Divorce
T.I. and Tiny have reportedly filed and signed their divorce papers this week.
E! News reports that Tiny served Tip with the papers on Monday, April 24 and he responded by filing his acknowledgment. The couple was married for six years and had three children together, in addition to the children they had in prior relationships.
The couple grew into a Hip-Hop Huxtable image due to the popularity of their VH1 Reality TV series The Family Hustle. But, the show may have also played a part in their split. The upcoming final season will include their divorce saga.
In an interview with Wendy Williams, Tiny admitted that the show did put a strain on the marriage.
“I think reality TV did put a little strain in it because it keeps people in your business,” she said. “I felt like it was a family show so it would be cool but it just seems like everything turns out to be in the media.”
T.I. expressed similar sentiments in a separate interview on HarryTV, but said he’s glad it’s almost over with.
“The show has been something that has documented the growth and evolution of our family,” he said. “Even people we work with for the show, they’ve become extended family members. It’s bittersweet. I am kind of glad to get people out of my business a little bit.”
T.I. and Tiny’s relationship wasn’t without media drama outside of the show either. T.I. got into a brawl with boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather after it was suspected that Tiny was messing around with him. Then just weeks ago Tiny found herself in a social media squabble with T.I. suspected side piece, model Bernice Burgos.
Earlier this month, T.I. all but put the nail in the coffin for the union when he told Angie Martinez that he felt marriage was a “distraction.”
