
The Chief Of Naval Assessment Safety and Standards Pays Courtesy Visit To The Commander Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder
On Monday, 29 September 2025, the Chief of the Naval Staff Advance Inspection Team visited Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder in line with the Nigerian Navy Schedule of Events 2025. The team, led by Rear Admiral JO Ajodo alongside three other senior officers, was received by the Commander NNS Pathfinder, Commodore CN Aniaku. The visit was aimed at assessing the base’s operational preparedness, efficiency and overall state, as well as identifying its achievements and challenges.
During the visit, a brief on the activities of the base was presented by the Base Operations Officer, Commander BM Adebayo. In his remarks, Rear Admiral Ajodo commended the Commander for the transformation of the base, particularly the newly built accommodation facilities and the high level of cleanliness. He further emphasized the need to sustain infrastructural development and maintain the operational posture of the base while appreciating the officers and ratings for their professionalism.
The visit also featured inspection of records, a guided tour of key facilities, signing of the visitors’ book and presentation of plaques.
