Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has defended Marouane Fellaini in a rather bizarre manner after the midfielder’s latest elbow controversy in the sides 1-1 draw with Champions elect Leicester City.
The talking point occurred during a corner-kick when Fellaini struck Foxes defender Robert Huth in the jaw after the German defender appeared to pull his hair in a box struggle.
The incident went unnoticed by referee Michael Oliver, leaving open the prospect of retrospective action from the Football Association after video evidence, and Van Gaal, who once demanded his players be horny, has curiously risen to the defence of the Belgian midfielder.
“Grabbed with the hair, only with sex, masochism [is that okay],” he said post-match, before attempting to involve his interviewer in a physical re-enactment of the incident.
“When you see what Huth is doing with Fellaini it is a penalty. Shall I grab you with your hair? What is your reaction? Your hair is much shorter.
“I think [Fellaini’s] is a normal reaction. Every human being grabbed with the hair would react in this way.
“Huth was the one who grabbed the hair of Fellaini. I think the action of Fellaini is the action of a human being. It is always like that.”
Twitter has trolled the Dutchman to no end…
So… terrifying mental image of a naked, aroused Van Gaal pulling your hair. Thanks for that, Louis.

Why didn’t the interviewer elbow Van Gaal in the face when he pulled his hair?
He had a free pass. Van Gaal said its a “normal reaction”.
