Uphold the Highest Standards of Integrity – Chief of Military Intelligence (Army) Charges Newly Promoted Officers

The Chief of Military Intelligence (Army), Major General Aliyu Idris, has charged newly promoted senior officers of the Corps to uphold the highest standards of integrity in the discharge of their duties. He gave the charge during the decoration ceremony held today, Tuesday 16 September 2025, at Brigadier General AU Kuliya Auditorium, Headquarters Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps (HQ NAIC).

In his remarks, Maj Gen Idris reminded the officers that they have now assumed the responsibilities of senior officers in the Nigerian Army. He urged them to avoid disciplinary cases and strive for excellence particularly as it reflects in their performance evaluation reports and maintain absolute loyalty to constituted authority. He further described their promotion as both a reward for hard work and a motivation to rise to the challenges of the prevailing security environment in the country.

Those decorated include Capt HS Abdulkadir, Capt MO John, Capt GR Yusuf, and Capt A Muhammad, who were all elevated to the rank of Major.

Earlier, words of encouragement were delivered by Major Gbolahan Folayan and Lieutenant Colonel Dooyum Madza, who advised the newly promoted officers to remain focused, dedicated and committed in service to the nation.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Major Hamza Abdulkadir expressed profound appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for graciously approving their promotion. He also acknowledged the guidance of the CMI (A), as well as the support of colleagues and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the event. Maj Abdulkadir assured that the newly promoted officers would continue to uphold the core values of the Nigerian Army and discharge their constitutional responsibilities with integrity, loyalty and dedication.
