Wife Of Chief of Defence Staff, Mrs. Musa Assumes Office As DEPOWA President

The Wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, Mrs Lilian Musa, has assumed leadership of Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), promised to prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of members and work to foster an inclusive and supporting environment that would promote the growth of DEPOWA.

Mrs Musa took over from Mrs Vickie Irabor on Tuesday following the appointment of new service Chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on June 19,2023.

In her maiden remarks, “I wish you God’s love and blessing as you begin a new life outside the Barracks.

“I stand today inspired by the legacy of those who came before me and committed to building upon the foundation laid by my predecessors, ready to fulfill our humanitarian and social objectives.

“I implore you to join me in this noble cause, let us harness our strengths, talents and resources to uplift our association and provide opportunities that bring hope for all. Hi

“Collectively, we can create a lasting impact and make alot of difference in the life of those we serve.

“I pledge to uphold the values of accountability, transparency and good governance in all activities of DEPOWA.

“I will prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of our esteemed members and work to foster an inclusive and supporting environment that promotes the growth of our association in collaboration with you,” she said.

She promised to sustain the legacies and love for humanity of her past leaders.

“It is my honour to officially assume the role of the 15th presidents of this esteemed association. I’ll like to express my gratitude to God Almighty for his grace, mercy and faithfulness to my wonderful husband Major Gen CG Musa the current CDS for his unwavering support and encouragement.

“It is through his leadership that I stand before you ready to serve with passion and dedication.
