Yobe State CAN Chairman Visits Headquarters Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai In Damaturu

The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Yobe State, His Lordship, Right Reverend Yohanna A. Audu, who is also The Bishop, Diocese of Damaturu (Anglican Common), has on Friday 11th August 2023, visited Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso at the Sector Headquarters in Damaturu, Yobe State.

During his remarks, the Sector Commander appreciated His Lordship for the visit and thanked him for their commitment and spiritual support to the Sector and Units under command. General Saraso further stated that the Nigerian Army as a professional organization, promotes freedom of worship for the spiritual growth of its personnel but has no place for religious intolerance or disharmony in its barracks. He further assured the visiting clergy that the Sector will continue to provide the necessary support to the people to aid the conduct of its ongoing operations and enhance the restoration of normalcy in all communities.

Ealier in his remarks, the Bishop Diocese of Damaturu (Anglican Communion) The Rt. Rev. Yohannah Audu, appreciated the Sector Commander for warm reception accorded to him and his entourage during the visit. He also commended the commitments, efforts and sacrifices of the Officers and Soldiers of Sector 2 OPHK in bringing back relative peace and stability in Yobe State. Bishop Yohannah A. Audu further solicited for more relationship, support and collaborations from the Sector.
