FRSC Lauds EFCC’s Efforts in Road Safety Management

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has lauded the support of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in road safety management in Nigeria.

The Kwara State Sector Commander, FRSC, Jonathan Owoade gave the commendation on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 during a visit to the Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC.

Owoade also used the occasion to appreciate the Commission for helping the FRSC to fight corruption within its system.

“I want to thank you for the cooperation the FRSC has enjoyed so far from the Commission both at the National and State levels. The EFCC has been of tremendous help to us in tracking the activities of our personnel, particularly the corrupt ones”, he said.

According to him, the Corps had put in place measures to check the excesses of its personnel especially those who were in the habit of extorting money from motorists.

The FRSC boss called for more synergy and assistance especially in in the areas of intelligence sharing and operational activities.

Responding, the Zonal Head, Ilorin Office of the EFCC, Oseni Kazeem, expressed delight for the visit, while commending the efforts of the FRSC towards reducing road carnage especially during the yuletide. He urged them to keep the good work.

“We are sister agencies. The EFCC and FRSC have all along been collaborating. I can assure you that the Commission will not hesitate in lending support to your agency in any area of need”, Kazeem promised.
