OGUN HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECT HON.AKEEM BALOGUN AS ITS NEW DEPUTY SPEAKER

The Ogun State House of Assembly has elected Hon. Akeem Balogun representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency as its new Deputy Speaker.

Intelligence reported that the former Deputy Speaker, Hon Oludare Kadiri, was impeached by 19 out of 26 lawmakers over allegations of gross misconduct.

Reports indicate that the new Deputy Speaker was elected unopposed in an election supervised by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Deji Adeyemi, during a plenary session held at the Assembly complex on Tuesday.

Hon. Balogun was nominated by Solomon Osho (Remo North) and was seconded by Abayomi Fasuwa (Ijebu North East).
