UNDP Visits 7 Division NA, Seeks More Support and Collaboration

The officials of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Monday, 23 May 2022, paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to 7 Division Headquarters.

The delegates whom were led by the National Security Officer, Col Amao (Rtd) were received in the office of the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Waidi Shaibu.

In his remarks, Col Amoa (Rtd) expressed delight in the warm reception accorded to him and members of his entourage. While applauding the military for the successes recorded in the fight against insurgency, he solicited for more support and collaboration to enable them discharge their humanitarian duties in the Northeast effectively.

The GOC while assuring the United Nations Organization of the Division’s support also described them as ‘a worthy partner and stakeholder,’ that has over the years positively contributed to the return of normalcy in the Northeast region.

Present during the visit is the Chief of Staff 7 Division, Brig Gen SY Yakasai; Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) G1; DCOS G4; Representative of the Comd 7 Provost Group and other officers of the Division.
