2baba Idibia Finally Receives Honorary Degree Presented to Him by the Esama of Benin

Finally 2baba Idibia has receieved the honorary degree from Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo State. According to the music icon’s record label page, the award was presented to him by the Esama of Benin himself, Chief Dr G.O Igbinedion at a ceremony held at the school today.

Innocent Ujah Idibia gained global acclaim after the release his debut album, Face 2 Face in May 2004. Within the space of a decade, he has won major awards including BET Best International Act: Africa. Last November, he was turbaned as the ‘Tadifan Kudendan’ of Kudendan by HRH, the Galadima of Kudendan in Kaduna State.

The honorary degree he received from the prestigious school was for his contributions to the arts, music, and pop culture.
