
Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/Commander 23 Brigade Hosts NDLEA’s State Commander, Promises Continued Synergy
The Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/ Commander 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Amechi Agwu has assured the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Adamawa State Command of the Sector’s continued support and cooperation.
Brigadier General Agwu stated this during the courtesy visit by the State Commander, NDLEA, Commander of Narcotics (CN) Aliyu Abubakar to the Headquarters 23 Brigade on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
He noted that the Brigade and NDLEA enjoy existing synergy, vowed to maintain and improve upon it through collaborative efforts to ensure safety of lives and properties of citizens in their Areas of Responsibilities (AOR).
The Acting Commander Sector 4/ Commander 23 Brigade urged the newly State Commander of the NDLEA who assumed duties recently to use his position as a legal practitioner to ensure that drug traffickers arrested within their AOR are prosecuted and convicted to serve as deterrent to others that may intend to join the drug cartel.
Earlier in his remarks, the State Commander NDLEA, CN Abubakar expressed his appreciation to the Acting Commander Sector 4/ Commander 23 Brigade for his efforts at building, uniting and coordinating activities of all security agencies in Adamawa State.
He said the NDLEA is working towards denying drug cartels and substance abusers the freedom of action within the state, soliciting the Brigade’s assistance during its operations.
Highlights of the visit were signing of the visitor’s book by the State Commander of the NDLEA, presentation of souvenirs to the State Commander NDLEA by the Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai/Commander 23 Brigade and taking of the group photographs to mark the end of the visit.
