Actress Kathy Griffin Under Fire for Donald Trump Execution Photoshoot
Actress Kathy Griffin is believed to have crossed the line with her disgust for Donald Trump by participating in a mock execution of the President of the United States.
According to TMZ, who broke the news, the actress and comedian posed for the gory shot during a photo session with controversial photographer Tyler Shields. The media house adds that during the shoot, the duo joked about moving to Mexico after the photo is released for fear that they would be thrown in prison.
This is not the first time a celebrity would get into hot water with actions or comments related to Trump. Madonna threatened to blow up the White House during her speech a the Women’s March held in January, but she later clarified that it was all talk.
While many people didn’t think much of Madonna’s talk, Griffin’s photoshoot has caused massive outrage from Americans, including Trump’s critics like the Chelsea Clinton, who called it “vile and wrong” in a Twitter post.
This is vile and wrong. It is never funny to joke about killing a president. https://t.co/zIiuKoMyFw

Following the major negative reaction to the photoshoot, Kathy Griffin posted a video, apologising for the shoot. “I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong,” she said, adding, “I understand how it offends people. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career.”
