American Idol Contestant Defends Katy Perry, Says She Did Not Sexually Harass Him

20-year-old contestant Ben Isaac Glaze has defended Katy Perry after people hopped on the internet to accuse her of sexually harassing him.

Drama started last Sunday after Katy gave Glaze his first-ever kiss during his audition and many people felt it was all awkward.

On Wednesday, Glaze spoke with the New York Times, admitting that he was “was a tad bit uncomfortable” with the kiss, adding, “I wanted to save it for my first relationship. I wanted it to be special…Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no.”

His statement earned Katy and the show hosts major backlash, but seeing how Katy Perry was being dragged on social media, Glaze took to his Instagram to clarify his statement, writing, “I would like to clear a few things up for everyone who is confused, concerned, Or angry.”

“The way certain articles are worded is not done by me and my true intentions are not accurately represented in every article you read about the situation,” he adding, “I am not complaining about the kiss I am very honored and thankful to be apart of American Idol the main purpose for the show is to find stars and new music artist.”

“I do not think i was sexually harassed by Katy Perry,” he continued. “I was uncomfortable in a sense of how i have never been kissed before and was not expecting it.”

And he said a lot more. See the full note below.
