
Chief Of Administration Army Emphasizes The Continuation Of Transparent and Merit-Based Recruitment Into The Nigerian Army
The Chief of Administration Army (COA), Major General IM Abdullahi has charged officers involved in the 91 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise of the Nigerian Army to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, transparency and accountability throughout the recruitment process.
He stated this while declaring open the Coordinating Conference for the 91 Regular Recruits Intake at the Army War College Nigeria on Tuesday, 4 June 2026.
Speaking on the theme, “Strategies for a Transparent, Merit-Based Nigerian Army Recruitment Process”, Maj IM Gen Abdullahi stated that maintaining a merit-based recruitment process through integrity, transparency and accountability is paramount as this will enhance the recruitment process and determine the quality of personnel enlisted into the service.
The COA also stated the need for Temporary Recruitment Officers to ensure full compliance with enlistment policies and regulations while also ensuring equitable representation across all geo political zones. The conference was concluded on 4 Jun 26.
