Chief Of Air Staff Receives Airbus Defence and Space Delegation To Advance Nigerian Air Force Airlift Capabilities
Strengthening strategic partnerships to enhance the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) operational air mobility, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, received a high-level delegation from Airbus Defence and Space at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Abuja. The delegation was led by the Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, Mr Charles Simpson, and included senior Airbus executives as well as the Managing Director of Airbus Nigeria, Air Vice Marshal Victor Udoh (Rtd).
The visit followed recent engagements on the C295 programme, including the visit of the Honourable Minister of Defence and the CAS to Spain to inspect the C295 Final Assembly Line. Discussions centred on deepening collaboration towards enhancing the NAF’s tactical airlift capabilities, operational readiness and humanitarian response capacity in support of national security objectives.
