Chief Of Naval Engineering Pays Courtesy Visits To Flag Officers Commanding

On Friday 25 April 2025, the Chief of Naval Engineering (CONE), Rear Admiral Baratuaipri Iyalla paid courtesy visits to the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (FOC NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral IM Albara and the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command (FOC EAST), Rear Admiral SA Akinwande respectively.

While at the Headquarters Naval Training Command, the CONE planted a tree symbolising the FOC NAVTRAC’s ongoing commitment to greening the environment, promoting environmental sustainability and meeting climate change targets. In his remarks, the CONE underscored the benefits of tree planting for both safeguarding and beautification of the environment. Lastly, he commended the Command’s philosophy of helping to save the planet and noted that the ambience of the environment bears testimony of the excellent work being done.

The subsequent visit to FOC EAST served as a catalyst for exploring innovative opportunities to augment the Nigerian Navy’s financial and operational capacities. The FOC EAST underscored pivotal areas ripe for development, while the CONE emphasized the need for diversifying funding sources, including commercial initiatives to drive impactful projects.
