Commander Nigerian Army Armoured Corps Hosts Inter-Security Agencies Cross Country Competition

The Commander Nigerian Army Armoured Corps Major General James Akomolafe hosted the 2018 edition of Inter-Security Agencies and Inter-Units Cross Country Competition at Obienu Barracks, Bauchi, Bauchi State.

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State Dr Muhammed Abubakar represented by his Special Adviser on Security Brig Gen Ladan Yusuf (Rtd) flagged off the 10 kilometres race at Obienu Barracks Sports ground, Bauchi.

The male and female participating Athletes were drawn from all the Security and Paramilitary Agencies in Bauchi state.

In attendance are the Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command of the Nigerian Air Force Bauchi represented Air Commodore JA Yusuf, Heads of all Paramilitary Agencies in Bauchi State, the Emir of Bauchi His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman and members of Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army, amongst others.

The 211 Armour Demonstration Battalion emerged overall Champions of the Inter Security Agencies Category, while the Nigerian Immigration Service won the individual category best timer trophy with a record time of 38 minutes 10 seconds over a distance of 10 kilometres.
