Corps Of Supply and Transport Repositioning For Excellent Service Delivery — Maj. Gen. Adeyinka

The Commander Corps of Supply and Transport(CCST), Major General Adekunle Adeyinka has declared that the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport under his command is repositing for excellent service delivery in the Nigerian Army(NA), in line with the command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Toareed Lagbaja. He made the declaration during a courtesy call on the General Officer Commanding(GOC), 6 Division, Nigerian Army/Land Component Commander, Joint Task Force, South South, Operation DELTA SAFE, Major General Jamal Abdussalam at the Division’s Headquarters in Port Harcourt Barracks, Rivers State.

The CCST, who was on a familiarization tour to formations and units under command, further stated that the Corps is recalibrating for better services. He also added that the Corps is working assidiously to ensure officers and soldiers do their jobs with pride, utmost professionalism, and the expected level of proficiency.

He further used the medium to emphasize the respect and admiration he has for the GOC, adding that they have come a long way right from their formative stage as course mates at the prestigious, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Responding, the GOC stated that 6 Division is committed to supporting 76 Supply and Transport Brigade to effectively carry out its responsibilities. He further pledged that in no distant time, a number of projects would be mainstreamed in support of the Supply and Transport Brigade and for the benefit of the residents of the entire barracks in line with the welfare drive contained in the COAS’ command philosophy.

The GOC reiterated that he is confident that, the the Corps will benefit immensely from the excellent ideas of the CCST, adding that it would significantly enhance the operational efficiency of the Corps. The CCST was thereafter briefed and conducted to a tour of 76 Supply and Transport Brigade by the Commander, Brigadier Adebayo Adegbite.
