D’banj Unveils New Project, ‘The Cream Platform’ With MTN

Yesterday, news made the rounds that the Kokomaster had dumped Glo for MTN to work on a new creative project. Now D’banj has unveiled the project which is under MTN tagged  ‘The Cream Platform.’

The singer and businessman took to his Instagram page yesterday to reveal that his company, DKM will be partnering with MTN and BOI (Bank Of Industry) to pioneer the new service which aims to provide creative content that will be financed, published, marketed and distributed with trackable monitoring by content owners without leaving their comfort zones.

D’banj’s new deal with MTN is reportedly a way for him to help improve the distribution of entertainment products and also monetize and monitor music content and catalogues, while experimenting with markets within the African Union.

D’banj and Glo initially fell out in 2010 after the Emergency singer reportedly had a major dispute with the company. Then in 2013, their issues were resolved after he met with Glo’s CEO, Mike Adenuga; he then re-signed a new multi-million Naira brand endorsement deal with them.

However, last year, the 36-year-old singer went on twitter to accuse a telecoms firm of ‘milking off his sweat illegally’ and his fans assumed he was referring to Glo.
