Discipline Is The Bridge Between Goals and Accomplishment — Nigerian Army School Rector Charges Students

The Rector Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology (NACEST), Major General Umar Nasir Babangida has declared open a One-Day Seminar with the theme “Achieving Academic Success with Ease” for National Diploma 1 and Higher National Diploma 1 Students at the College Auditorium in Makurdi, Benue state.

In his remarks, the Rector stated that “academic success is defined as a student’s ability to meet academic grade-level requirements as well as national standards”. He further stated that the second step which comprises the most activities is planning. Planning is the process of thinking regarding the activities required for a desired goal. He added that students should be self-disciplined because discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

During the seminar, lectures on the key to academic success were delivered by Mr. Jonathan Ishaya, Dangers of Examination malpractice on students and concepts of Learning and Character Award of certificates was also delivered by two of the erudite lecturers of the College, Mrs. Gift Apah and Mrs. Nnonyelum Ogochukwu Anthonia.

The highlight of the seminar was a question and answer session and general remarks by the college Registrar Lieutenant Colonel OS JOB.
