The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has called on the Borno Geographical Information Service, BOGIS, to report and hand over for investigation and prosecution, any individual that parades a fake Certificate of Occupancy, CofO.

“We are working together for one purpose, to ensure that this thing called corruption in our society is not allowed to survive. If you identify people from outside who specialized in selling fake title documents, you should give us information. Buyers will bring it innocently to you for verification, the agency should endeavor to report such an individual for proper investigation and prosecution,” he said.

Magu made the call on Friday, March 20, 2020, through Lawrence Iwodi, Zonal Head of Maiduguri Office of the EFCC, while receiving the leadership and management staff of Borno Geographical Service BOGIS, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Maiduguri Zonal Office.
