Yesterday, news broke that Mexican drug lord El Chapo escaped maximum security prison for the third time and this became the top trending topic all over the world.
The story turned out to be false, BBC confirms. However, with thousands of people sharing funny memes, jokes and more about the kingpin’s alleged jailbreak, the spoof was yet another opportunity for people to poke fun at social, economic and political issues all around the world.
