Gennady Golovkin to Take on Kell Brook in London
Unbeaten British welterweight star Kell Brook will step up in weight to face middleweight monster Gennady Golovkin for the unified Middleweight Championship on September 10.
It will be a battle between two unbeaten stars at London’s O2 Arena when Brook, 36-0, go toe-to-toe with boxing’s new pound-for-pound king Golovkin (35-0, 32 Kos).
It will be the first fight in Britain for 34-year-old Golovkin and the Kazakh star has promised drama, Mirror reports.
“I’m very excited to be fighting in front of the great British boxing fans and promise another ‘Big Drama Show’ against Kell Brook,” said Golovkin, aka, God of War.

IBF welterweight champion Brook – who has been hunting a major fight since landing the World title – believes he is equal to the task.
“This is the fight and the moment I have been waiting for for some time,” said Special K.
