GOC 1 Division Inaugurates Driving and Catering Basic Course 3/2023

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army Maj Gen BA Alabi has inaugurated the Driving and Basic Catering Course 3/2023 at the 71 Supply and Transport Brigade, Ribadu Cantonment Kaduna.

In his remarks, the GOC who was represented by the Commander 1 Division Garrison Brig Gen C Ogbuabo commended the tireless efforts of the Acting Commander 71 Supply and Transport Brigade, Lt Col LS Sarki for the endless effort the unit has put in the training of personnel of 1 Division.
He said the Drivers and Catering Course is an assemblage of drivers and caterers within 1 Division Nigerian Army. He noted that it is a rare privilege for the personnel nominated for the course and to be professionally trained in order to discharge their roles as drivers and caterers in the Nigerian Army. He charged the students to take the courses seriously as it will afford them the opportunity to become professionals.

Earlier in his remarks, the Acting Commander 71 Supply and Transport Brigade Lt Col LS Sarki welcomed the representative of the GOC and other guests and applauded the continuous support of the GOC to Brigade while soliciting for more support so as to give the Brigade a facelift and create more conducive environment for the staff and students. He said the course consist of 105 students, 79 drivers and 26 caterers drawn from various unit and formations within 1 Division Area of Responsibility.
