I would like to take this opportunity to commend you all for this particularly outstanding example of excellent law enforcement work on 23 of February 2019 during the just concluded presidential election.
I feel immensely proud, safe and secure because of your excellent performances.
You all responded to distress calls at the right time.
You patrolled to keep those hoodlums at bay.
You never hesitated to confront angry crowds of even larger size in other to secure the lives of people and other sensitive INEC materials before, during and after the election.
You have all demonstrated your bravery in the face of danger and your compassion as a well trained police officer for the value of human life.
You have all shown majority of Nigerians that a police officer is a symbol of strength and courage.
Police officers stand between good and evil.
Police officers bravely stand between law abiding citizens and the people who have adopted a belief that they are above the law.
The highest professionalism of law enforcement you have demonstrated is duly recognized.
Your dedication and commitment contribute not only to the success of Nigeria police but also to modern law enforcement tactics.
The Nigeria police have gained a great deal by your courageous and selfless acts.
