Kogi Elections: Follow Me To Buhari Or I Will Depose You When Re-Elected – Yahaya Bello Threatens Traditional Rulers

Governor Yahaya Bello is in the eye of the storm again coercing traditional rulers with threats and cash to follow him on a visit to the president where they will endorse him for November 2019 gubernatorial elections in the state or he will depose them when re-elected.

Information reaching us say he warned the traditional rulers he would stop their salaries and threatened to depose some when he returns as governor, he said he was sure of an automatic ticket being the adopted 1st son of President Buhari,

Sources within Lugard house insist that all is not well between the Governor and His Majesty, The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, as they maintain that the only reason GYB even paid homage to the King was to hide under the cover of His Majesty who is loved by his people to attend the Eid prayers.

There were said to be security reports that indigenes had planned to pelt the governor who is seen by the people as grossly inept and immature with stones, and to prevent that, he decided to persuade the King to go with him, and also used the opportunity to have pictures taken of him with the King, just to create a mere mirage of cordiality.

However, sequence of events after the Eid day, has inadvertently laid credence to the information given by the Government house sources who pleaded anonymity.

For instance, the Governor failed to attend nor send a representative to the 22nd anniversary celebrations of The Ohinoyi, which came up barely three days after the Eid. While the seemingly juvenile Governor is said to have completely ignored the celebration, he was said to have specifically directed that nobody in his cabinet should send any message or felicitations to His Majesty.

However some upright  traditional rulers with integrity are refusing all overtures to drag them to Abuja even after the programme has been sent to them.

Below is a copy of the message sent to the traditional rulers.
