Lady Gaga has made the first move in ending her long-time feud with Madonna, just in time for the holiday.

Taking to Twitter to reach out for a reconciliation, the Million Reasons crooner lauded the Material Girl for her ‘inspiring’ speech at the 2016 Billboard Women in Music event, following years of feuding. She thanked the 58-year-old for “being that for us girls, we need that,” even as Madonna broached on the subject of rape, criticism and sexism in today’s world.

Madonna gave an emotional speech while accepting the Woman of the Year Award, according to US, stating;

“Thank you for acknowledging my ability to continue my career for 34 years in the face of blatant misogyny, sexism, constant bullying and relentless abuse.”

Asides from recounting her rape experience, Madge touched on the horror of aging, sexism and criticism hauled at females, especially in entertainment.

“When I first moved to New York, I was a teenager, it was 1979, and New York was a very scary place. In the first year, I was held up at gunpoint, raped on a rooftop with a knife digging into my throat.”

“You are allowed to be pretty and cute and sexy. But don’t act too smart. Don’t have an opinion. Don’t have an opinion that is out of line with the status quo, at least,” she continued.

“And finally, do not age because age is a sin. You will be criticized. You will be vilified. And you will definitely not be played on the radio.”

Lady Gaga and Madonna have been at their beef since 2011, when the former released “Born This Way” which sounded similar to Madonna’s 1989 song “Express Yourself.”

In an interview in February 2015, Madonna said Gaga “blatantly ripped off one of my songs” and Gaga also threw shade at the “Like a Prayer crooner” during an interview with Beats 1 Radio in October.

When the host compared the two ladies, Gaga shot back, saying they were entirely different and unlike Madonna, she plays a lot of instruments, writes her music and spend hours in the studio, producing.
