Manchester United and Dutch winger, Memphis Depay, has given his 2.3 million followers on Instagram something to talk about after he deleted all but one of his pictures on the platform. Most of those pictures were taken as a United Player. The only picture left is one of him and his girlfriend locked in an embrace in Paris.He did not stop there as the Dutchman has also unfollowed his Old Trafford teammates on his social media accounts. Incidentally, he still follows the club on Instagram and Twitter.
His unexpected action has caused his supporters to worry about his future at the club.
Despite showing early promises, Depay has had problems coping with rigorous demands of the Premier League. The £25m star has completed only three league games since January and has scored only seven goals in all competitions this season.
DailyStar reports that Manchester United are already planning to declare him surplus to requirement. But the ‘wonder kid’ appears set to take his destiny in his hands with this new behaviour. But trust social media, Tweeps on Twitter have a word or two for him:
