Earlier on, we reported that Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj has been indicted in a rape case involving a 12-year-old and if convicted, the older brother to the rap queen could face up to 15 years to life in prison. Now, Media Takeout reports that the rapper has asked for presidential pardon for her brother.

When Jelani Maraj was arrested last December, he was released same day after the rapper posted a bail of $100,000, and put up her two homes in New York as collateral for the bond.

Recall that days ago, Nicki Minaj and other rappers were invited to a special event to the White House by President Obama, and according to MTO’s sources, the ‘Pinkprint’ rapper approached the president for the ‘possibility of issuing a pardon’ to her brother.

From the indictment charges, Maraj is accused of felony predatory assault against a child, felony sexual conduct against a child under age 13, sexual conduct against a child, and endangering the welfare of a child.

“Nicki [spoke] with the President about it,” MTO’s sources claimed. “They’re going to talk more. The President leaves office in January, he can just pardon Jelani and then leave. No one would be able to say anything about it.”

The source adds that it is not clear if the president, who leaves office in January, will be granting such a wish.

See the photo the award winning rapper posted after the meeting. “Met with President Obama today to discuss a few things that happen to be very dear to my ❤️. I am#MyBrothersKeeper,” the caption says.

Could this be true?

However, Nicki Minaj has never spoken up about the charges leveled against her brother.
