Nigerian Air Force, Zenith Bank Deepen Strategic Partnership For Personnel Welfare and Operational Readiness
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and Zenith Bank Plc are set to deepen their strategic partnership, with a focus on enhancing personnel welfare, strengthening financial services and supporting the operational readiness of the Service. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, stated this on 1 September 2026 while receiving the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji, and her delegation on a courtesy visit to Headquarters NAF, Abuja. The CAS emphasised that a motivated, professional and combat-ready force requires not only modern platforms and rigorous training, but also strong welfare and financial support systems that enhance the wellbeing and security of personnel.
Air Marshal Aneke highlighted opportunities for expanded collaboration in customised salary management, personal loans, affordable mortgages and other financial services designed to improve the financial wellbeing of NAF personnel. He also noted the potential for Zenith Bank to support the Chief of the Air Staff Youth Empowerment Programme (CASYEP), further reflecting the NAF’s commitment to initiatives that empower its personnel and contribute to their overall wellbeing. Earlier, Dame (Dr) Umeoji congratulated Air Marshal Aneke on his appointment as the 23rd Chief of the Air Staff and commended the progress recorded under his leadership, expressing Zenith Bank’s readiness to build on its existing relationship with the NAF and explore further areas of strategic collaboration.
The engagement underscores the shared commitment of the NAF and Zenith Bank to building a stronger partnership that delivers meaningful value to NAF personnel and the Service.
