Nigerian Navy Commander Visits Igwe Nnewi, Assures Him Of Navy’s Support For Peace and Good Relationship Between Military and Civilians

During the Week, the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi Community in Nnewi North LGA, Anambra State HRH Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III received in audience, Commander Orlando Bahaushe (Commander Nigeria Naval Base Onitsha, Anambra State).

The Commander while speaking, Appreciated His Royal Majesty for granting him and his entourage the privilege to be in his Presence.

He noted that the Purpose for their Visit is to acknowledge that they are humble and are Respectful to his Person and the Throne and also to show the Elders in Council their Level of Solidarity and Love of inestimable pedigree that exist for the Nnewi People.

He noted that the Nigeria Navy stands to Support that which is Right and also are in need of their support and collaboration from the good people of Nnewi North LGA.

The Commander also stated that in line with the Mandate of the Federal Government of Nigeria, State Government and the People of Nnewi, that his men are on ground to foster peace and also bridge existing gaps between civilians and the military.

The Elders in Council while Responding assured the Commander that Nnewi is a Peaceful Area whose Security System is Top Notch and will Continue to be.

They assured the Commander of synergy in order to combat any form of Unrest that may arise in future

The Team which was led by the Prince of the Nnewi Kingdom, Hon. Prince Nnamsom Nwafor Orizu noted that Security is Everyone’s Business and we should always be on alert in order to report any form of Suspicious Movements or Actions as the case maybe to the appropriate authorities.

The Commander was also received by Chief Afam Obi(Ogidi) Obi Uruagu, Chief Benneth Okafor(Amaukwu) Obi Umudim, Engnr Chris Obiora (TC Chairman Nnewi North LGA), Chief Maduka Atuenyi (The PG Nnewi North LGA), Hon. Chukwudi Orizu (Former Deputy speaker ANSHA) and other stakeholders present.

Highlight of the Event was the Presentation of Award to HRH Igwe K.O.N Orizu111, CON and Grand Patron Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council.
