‘My Record Label is Now Worth Over $100m!’- D’banj

D’banj has joined the league of power figures running companies worth millions of dollars.

Writing on his Instagram yesterday, the Confidential singer revealed that his record label, D’ Cream Records, has just being valued at over $100m.

[A] dream that started on paper and went live today exactly a year ago, to help CREATIVE talents find their Dreams across Nigeria. A year later it has become the channel that I was looking for in 2012,” said the singer.

He went on to reveal that the record company got a ‘global label distribution deal’ for promoting African talents and now has been valued to be worth more than he dreamed of.

[It] has just been Valued above a $100 million Dollars. I’m so humbled, ” D’banj said.

This heartwarming update comes days after the singer accused former label mate, Don Jazzy, of funding trolls attacking him on social media.

Recall that in his interview with Peace Hyde of Forbes Africa, Don Jazzy opened up about his split up with D’banj, saying that their troubles started after he refused to relocate abroad with D’banj.

I lost a friend and a brother,” Don Jazzy said.

The duo made peace many years after their split, but it seems they are back to being rivals again, especially since D’banj alleged that the Mavin boss put people on his payroll for the sole purpose of attacking him on social media.

Well, D’banj says his record label is now worth over $100m, and this has given him one more reason to smile. See his post:
