Godwin Uchonu, who goes by the stage pseudonym “Spyz Da Wizzla” has returned to the music scene again; under the management of Black Line Records. The young Spyz has a marriage of street and “posh”experience. This puts him in good stead to appeal to a wider range of listeners and fans. His tough childhood gives Spyz a lot of ills to address, and pain to incorporate to his music. His eloquence and intelligence gives him a good stand to convey these ideas. The 24 year old crooner who hails from Kogi State, is renouncing his entrance with his new single titled “ Sugar and Ice”. This promises to be a track that is a union of the best qualities in R&B and Ragga.
Spyz maybe new to the mainstream Nigerian music industry, however he has the wealth of experience working with fresh exciting talent, as well as some renowned names in the industry. Which include: Del B, BOJ, Wizzypro beats and others.
The entrance of Spyz is a welcomed occurrence to the scene, because it adds more competition to the industry, which recently has become a little docile in relation to competition.
