Super Falcons of Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala led her Barcelona Femeni teammates to Germany for their second leg UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL)

Oshoala recently returned from a two month injury layoff which saw her miss crucial the Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers.

Even while Oshoala was injured she supported her team to win the Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino.

The 27-year-old Super Falcons star was in action for Barcelona Femeni as they recorded a 5-1 victory against Wolfsburg in the first game played in front of a record attendance at Camp Nou.

The Super Falcons star led the Barcelona Femeni team as they arrived in Wolfsburg for the second leg.

Head coach Jonatan Giráldez says his team do not assume they have qualified despite a comfortable first leg victory.

He said, “We still have a second leg to play [against a team who this season at home] beat Chelsea 4-0 and Bayern 6-0, so the tie isn’t over even if we are well positioned.”

Wolfsburg coach Tommy Stroot on the other hand reveals how his team can record a comeback victory.

He added, “Winning 5-1 or better against this team in the second leg might not be entirely realistic.

“It will still be our task to show a completely different face. For that we have to start with the small things.”

Barcelona recorded a victory against rivals Real Madrid in the quarterfinal to set up a clash against Wolfsburg their final hurdle to return to the UWCL final as the second leg is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2022.
