Sustain Professionalism In Your New Units, Commander Operation Safe Haven Tells Posted-Out Officers

It was a moment of joy for the Officers who have completed their tenure in Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) as they file out one after the other to collect mementos from the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE Haven at the Headquarters OPSH Jos.

Appreciating the officers for their meritorious service and dedication to duty, the GOC and Commander OPSH, Major General Abdulsalami Bagudu Ibrahim charged the officers to sustain the professional conduct they are known for while in OPSH. He noted that sustaining the tenets of professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties will always lead to successes. The Commander further charged the officers to double their efforts in serving the country, as they prepare to take up new challenges in their new units. “Please put in your best wherever you go,”he noted.

The Commander also urged the posted-out officers to ensure they maintain contact with their comrades. He appreciated the officers for their enormous contributions to peace in OPSH joint operation area and prayed for lasting peace in the country.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Staff, Brig Gen Amos Egbejule and the Deputy Commander OPSH, DCP Tanzangwu Iyua commended the levels of cooperation and discipline exhibited by the officers throughout their service in OPSH.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the posted-out officers, the former commander Sector 7, Brig Gen Timothy Opurum thanked the Commander for acknowledging the contributions of the posted-out officers in OPSH. He pledged that the officers would use the experience garnered to make their new units better. He further thanked other officers for the cooperation and support throughout their service in OPSH.

Highlight of the event was the presentation mementos and group photograph.
