Sylvester Stallone’s Daughters Named Miss Golden Globe 2017
A first time honour of its kind has been bestowed on all three daughters of Sylvester Stallone as the trio of Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet Stallone were announced on Thursday as Miss Golden Globe 2017 by Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), Hollywood Reporter notes.
The role of the Miss Golden Globe involves assisting presenters with handing out statuettes to the winners of the different categories during the award show. And this role is traditionally bestowed on the child of a well respected actor or actress. The Stallone sisters will be stepping into a role previously held by celebrity offspring like Corrine Foxx, Dakota Johnson, Francesca Eastwood, and others who have also been crowned with the honour.
The statement released by HFPA President, Lorenzo Soria praised the Rocky actor and his wife, Jennifer, for raising such model children.
“For the first time in Golden Globe history, we have proudly selected not one but three Miss Golden Globe representatives.”
“The Stallone sisters will continue our time honored tradition of handing out the statuettes at the awards ceremony,” he noted.
“Each of the lovely young women in the triad have had success whether it be in academics, sports or pursuing a modeling career. With being raised by such role models Sylvester and Jennifer, we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these ladies.”
The 2017 Golden Globe Awards ceremony, is set to take place on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and will be hosted by The Tonight Show’s host, Jimmy Fallon. Golden Globe-winner, Meryl Streep will be honored at the event with the 2017 Cecil B. DeMille Award.
