EFCC Hosts 2nd Anti- Corruption Musical Concert
The second Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC’s Anti-Corruption Concert, tagged “Kill Corruption Concert 2.0” kicked off today, Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Unity Fountain, Abuja. The concert, a follow up on the first one which held on Sunday October 1, 2017 had more exciting musical artistes which included a child star.
The event was organized by the legendary On–Air-Personality, OAP, Ambassador Wahala, with support from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
It would be recalled that the African Union had earlier declared 2018 as the year of Fighting Corruption: A sustainable path to Africa’s Transformation. Nigeria is leading this campaign on the continent with EFCC at the fore front.
In a bid to work towards the actualization of this goal and in line with the EFCC mandate which entail carrying out public enlightenment campaign against economic and financial crimes, the concert became a special project of the Commission.
The programme, designed to explore comedy and music to engage Nigerians from all works of life, in the anti-corruption campaign was scheduled to entertain and educate residents of the Capital City during the Easter holiday celebrations.
A number of anti-corruption messages such as: “Corruption na cankerworm, let’s join hands to kill it”, “KickOutCorruption”, “UniteAgainstCorruption”, “ShunCorruption”, was spread in the music and drama from several artistes who came from Lagos and Abuja. They includeed Sunny Neji, Idris Abdulkarem, DJ Khaela, Eteyi, DJ Fresh, Nick B, Asawana, MC Okpere.
Others were MC Bob, Boliuma, Dr. Ayuba, Funny Bruno, Mr Odey aka Uncommon Comedian, De Minister, Ghana Must Go, Oluwa Reezi, 3310, Fortune, CD Owuyi, MC Ukodo, Ovie, Bishop of Swag in collaboration with Ambassador Wahala.
The media presence of LOVE and WAZOBIA FM was also seen at the event.
