Justin Bieber has had quite a number of run-ins with the law mostly for bad behaviour and now, he is being sued for $100,000 over claims he smashed a fan’s cellphone while partying last month.

According to Mirror, the 22-year-old has been accused of destroying the mobile phone of a fan identified as Robert Earl Morgan when he tried to record the singer attempting to funnel a beer bong but ended up spilling beer all over himself. The Sorry singer was reportedly upset and allegedly smashed Morgan’s phone, destroying it in the process.

Now, Morgan has filed a lawsuit to the tune of $100,000 against the pop singer, claiming he lost a wealth of important personal content when his phone was smashed. He also stated that he has missed out on commissions because he has been unable to retrieve some of his contacts’ information.

“Even superstars aren’t above the law,” Morgan’s lawyer stated. “They have to treat their fans with respect. The fans are the ones who make the stars who they are. There was no reason to attack my client and destroy his cell phone which caused him to lose irreplaceable data.”

Justin Bieber and his team are yet to make a statement about the lawsuit.
