‘McGregor has been Disrespecting me…He is only Barking’ – Mayweather
Ahead of the potential billion dollar fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, the retired boxing champion has laid down the mixed martial law to the MMA monster, saying he is only barking.
Mayweather, who’s taken his retirement road show to London, UK, on Tuesday called on the trash-talking Irishman to sign a contract or belt up, Mirror writes.
When asked about McGregor calling him out during a promotion of Liam Walsh’s IBF super-featherweight title fight against American Gervonta Davis, the money man said McGregor is all bark and no bite.
“Conor McGregor has been really disrespecting me. I don’t know if the fight is going to happen – if it happens it does, and if it doesn’t I’m AOK,” a dapper looking Mayweather said.
“But what has really been going on is this: He is barking, he is barking, he is barking. Once you get the paperwork and sign the contract, then you can bite me. But right now, you are just barking and you really don’t want the fight.”
The retired 49-0 star, whose vehicle went up in flames after an accident last week, said he couldn’t be happier with the present state of things.
“Everybody keeps telling me my automobile caught fire – let me make it clear, my automobiles are in the US, but I like this story because it went all around the world,” he said.
“We have TMT (The Money Team) trucks in Africa, Dubai, Russia – just one of them catches fire, it doesn’t mean it’s my truck.
“But my stay here has been great – I’ve had the warmest welcome and royal treatment, and I want to thank everyone here in London and the UK for embracing us with open arms.”
