Meek Mill Gives Away Turkeys to Poor Families, Despite Prison Sentence

Meek Mill may be serving time in prison but that is not stopping him from giving to poor families who need all the help they can get this Thanksgiving.

According to ABC, the rapper who is serving 2-4 years in prison for probation violations is helping out in his hometown in Philadelphia through his record label, Dream Chasers Records, and also Roc Nation to give away Thanksgiving turkeys to less fortunate families. 1,000 turkeys were said to be delivered at four different locations.

This is not the first time the rapper would be giving out to his people, but the fact that he did not stop given his prison sentence, has stirred heartwarming reactions on social media.

Seriously how can you not like this guy? Giving away turkeys from jail?” Asked one Instagram user, and another added, “Wow that’s right America lock up a man who helps people and donates free Turkeys to families in need, smh. #freemeek

Only recently, Meek was released from solitary confinement after his lawyers argued that the condition would affect his mental health.

Now, Meek Mill is back doing the good works he is known for in his hometown, folks are hopeful that he will be released from prison soon.
