Nigeria U23 team now know their group phase opponents for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games following the draws at the mythical Maracana Stadium in Brazil today.
The Samson Siasia-led side will face Sweden, Colombia and Japan in Group B of the preliminary round of the 2016 Olympics men’s football event scheduled to commence August 4.
Among the dignitaries at the colourful ceremony were representatives from all 28 delegations as well as Dunga and Oswaldo Alvarez, the respective coaches of Brazil’s men’s and women’s teams.
Hosts Brazil, still looking for that elusive football gold at the quadrennial games, were zoned in Group A alongside Iraq, Denmark, and South Africa.
