Theatre Commander Pays Operational Visit To FOB Tuba Wadi

The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Major General Gold Chibuisi accompanied by the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 OPHK, Major General Peter Malla visited Forward Operation Base (FOB) Tuba under 212 Battalion Area of Responsibility. The FOB is deployed to protect the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited exploration site at Wadi – B.

On arrival, the TC was received and briefed on the operational activities and layout of the FOB by the Commanding Officer 212 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel AY Abubakar. Shortly after the brief, Major General Gold Chibuisi conducted a tour of the facility and also assessed the deployment of troops in the FOB.

The TC urged troops to maintain maximum alert as they remain professional in the discharge of their constitutional duty. Moreso, he assured the them of the provision of requisite logistics needed to enhance their operational activities.
